  1. Does any one do Bullet Journaling in their Filofax? If so, how do you manage the pages and indexing?

  3. There are some very creative people in Philofaxy. What software packages do you use to design your own inserts? Just curious. I am limited to Word, but there seem to be some very pretty designs out there. Thanks in advance.

    1. I am also looking for software to make my own inserts. The advantage of Outlook is being able to print a day on two pages, but I have seen people on Facebook talking about Indesign and PagePlus. The inserts on Philofaxy are also brilliant.

    2. I use the Philofaxy Time Management inserts for A5 already and have tweaked them just slightly to suit me. I adore them. Was just wondering how folks make such really pretty info and notes pages. Thanks for the tip off about In Design and Page Plus.

    3. I recently discovered the Dynamic Templates at http://diyplanner.com/ which allows you to create a day-on-two-pages insert and export it to PDF format. It then prints to A5 size if you print it as a booklet.

  4. Any tips on switching inserts from FF A5 to Daytimer Desk? Do you just live with the Swiss cheese? I'm thinking of using Washi. But then, what if I want to switch back?

    1. Maybe it would be best to live with the "swiss cheese" until you decide for sure. Then you can decide if you want to use the washi or just live with it.

  5. My question is: Will David Popely do a follow up post on his GTD set-up explaining how he uses it? I think it's one of the best posts ever and now I've found plastic dividers with 12 tabs I'll give it a go, but I would love more info. I mean this post: http://philofaxy.blogspot.com/2013/11/guest-post-my-current-gtd-based-filofax.html

    1. Hi Ling, thank you for the kind comments. I'd be happy to do this if Steve wants to put it up (let me know please Steve?). Alternatively, I can update you off-list if you like, or for your own blog as a guest post if you have one and want one. Drop me an email at davidpopely (at) googlemail (dot) com

    3. Then it shall be done......i can actually incorporate the amendments I've made to the setup to take account of the latest developments from Davidco themselves, plus something more 'hands on' about operating it, so it might be a two-parter (or long).

Ling, if you'd like to email me anyway I can have a short dialogue with you and make sure I answer any specific questions you might have, and also get an idea of your situation, before I polish the post.

  6. To All Filofax Clipbook Owners,

The plastc cover that serves as a closure method can be used as internal flyleaves, or external protectors for the folder, by tearing (yes, tearing!) the cover at the "crease" closest to the slotted
holes on each side. It is perforated, so should tear very easily.

    Enjoy.

  7. Hi everyone. I've been reading this blog for a few months, ever since I decided that digital planning was NOT working for me. Over the weekend I bought a pocket Hamilton filofax on eBay and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. Anyone have thoughts on the Hamilton? I think I might have trouble finding inserts for it; I looked around Staples yesterday (where a DayRunner mysteriously popped into my cart) but I couldn't find anything that I thought would work.
